  1. I share your concern for what is happening to Julian Assange, and believe his story reflects the path Western societies appear to be on: a closing down of proper processes and a tendency toward fascism which was evident in the lead up to WW2. It is not difficult for me to take that broader approach because I have been closely following the lynch mob that is out to get not only Julian, but also – effectively- millions of people in Syria and the wider Middle East. It is a pity that your campaign is focused only on Julian; the issue is much wider. People should be extending it to a campaign which is anti US engineered wars. Ironically, Republican Ron Paul is the only Western politician who has come out publicly with a strong anti-war stand re Syria. He is old and wise enough to see through the rhetoric of so-called ‘revolutionaries’ and to smell a rat. I wish the campaign for Julian could broaden to include all those other victims of the US Administration. That would be something.
